Hydrogen powered Toyota GR Yaris

This looks pretty interesting:

Could it be the solution for gearheads looking to keep the feel and experience of a combustion engine in the future?

Could be a good option!

Find it mad the GR86 might only be available for 2 years!?

“When it’s gone, it’s gone”, says Toyota :flushed:

Yep, wonder if they’ll shoot up in price eventually, or we’ll see people keeping them super low mileage.

I’m scared for the future of combustion engines and just cars and bikes in general, to wake up one morning and never here a v8 cold start even to the local youth in an outrageously loud corsa, instead you only hear road noise and a sound that can only be described as a tram. I love actually pray for toyota and and all other manufacturers to not give up on combustion engines for just a battery there is hope.

Reviving a bit of a dead post here but I think the future may be hydrogen for daily drivers.
I know from inside information at Vauxhall that they’re planning to release a hydrogen powered Vivaro in the UK in 2023. If they can get a reliable hydrogen fuelling system in the UK then I think that’ll be how it goes, as electric cars just ain’t it.
I’ve heard a few rumours that the Japanese manufactures are working together to try and create a synthetic petrol that kicks out less emissions to try and keep the ICE alive, I just hope it’s true and not too late!
